I am writing this post in a bit of a daze. We have always had a peaceful confidence that God was going to come through and bring our visas in His perfect time. What was that time going to look like? I didn't know, but I did think that they would show up sometime next week — maybe even a courier would drive up right before we left for the airport. You know, so that God could really stretch my faith to the limits. Really, what could be more faith-stretching than God showing up in the last nick of time?
Well I can tell you! It's when God defies the parameters of time to answer your prayer!
Those of you that have been following our work permit and visa journey know that we just found out on Monday (3 days ago) that Kristi's work permit was approved on Friday (6 days ago, but that includes a weekend that we probably shouldn't count), and that our visas were lodged with the PNG Embassy then too. That started the typically 3 week clock to get our visas, but we were praying for 2 weeks so that we didn't miss our flight.
So we sent our passports on Tuesday (2 days ago) to converge with our other paperwork at the PNG Embassy. Our passports arrived at the PNG Embassy yesterday before lunch. And then we received our passports with approved visas today. That's right, TODAY!!! God is gracious and down right amazing!!!
Isaiah 55:9 " For as the heavens are higher that the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts." And praise the Lord for that!
